01 Where is Ellie’s office located?

Our new office is located in Lauttasaari, Helsinki, near the metro station. You can easily get there by metro, bus, bicycle or electric scooter from the center of Helsinki.

02 In what startup phase is Ellie?

We just secured €2.5M in seed funding. We have made significant growth since launching in 2019 and have over 50 enterprise customers across the world. With this funding, we’re developing new workflows for our customers – and welcoming new colleagues! Our target is to be a team of 30 people by the end of 2024.

03 Do people at Ellie work remotely?

We work at the office a couple of days per week, and remotely the rest of the week. Many of us like to start the week at the office, and stay at home more towards the weekend. Our company culture emphasizes tight-knit team collaboration and many of us prefer face-to-face meetings at the office. And, of course, to play ping pong.

04 What language skills are required at Ellie? Do you need to speak Finnish?

No Finnish skills needed – English is a must. We have a multicultural team with people from around the world. In a multicultural environment, and with a global customer base, great communication in English is required.

Continuing and speeding up active development according to our roadmap is our top priority right now. In essence what this means for you is… Welcome back to hands-on software development work at its best!

What is in the core of this role, is the communication with your team: as a senior expert you will be a key person in guiding your team, and bringing in your insights and experience for the team to learn from. You would also be expected to introduce new technologies and libraries based on what works, and what doesn’t. In this role, you are really able to participate in your team’s decision-making with your own ideas and views.

Our current technology stack includes: AWS, Ubuntu, Docker, PostgreSQL, Node.js, React.

In addition to monthly salary, equity of the company is negotiable. As we’re growing and raising funding, we will also introduce employee benefits and other perks that supplement the cash salary.

Senior Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Ellie Technologies is a rapidly growing enterprise data management SaaS company that is building product design and collaboration software for data teams - Ellie.ai. Our mission is to help bridge the gap between data needs and business outcomes and enable data culture across large organizations. We’re a team of 14 passionate professionals, with diverse backgrounds, coming from 7 different nationalities. We all come to the office at least a couple of times a week. Our office is located in Lauttasaari, Helsinki and you can get here easily with both public transportation and by car.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team and help kick off the SDR initiative at Ellie.ai. This individual will play a crucial role in establishing the sales development process and scaling our sales organization.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales development strategy to generate leads and grow the company's pipeline.
- Research, identify, and qualify prospective clients within the enterprise data management space.
- Engage with prospects through various channels, including email, phone calls, and social media, to establish rapport and set up meetings.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop targeted sales campaigns and refine messaging.Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations for optimizing the sales development process.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of Sales Development Representatives as the company scales.
- Stay current on industry trends, competitors, and best practices in sales development.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in sales development or related roles, preferably within the enterprise data management or SaaS industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and quotas.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and CRM tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in team building and mentoring junior team members.
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
